When you donate to or raise funds for The Nature Conservancy, nature and people benefit. Today's society and the natural world face unprecedented challenges - more than ever before, we must find innovative ways to ensure that nature can continue to provide the food, clean water, energy and other services we depend upon for survival. The funds raised by Team Nature Conservancy members will support the Conservancy's vision to leave a sustainable world for future generations by taking on tough issues facing conservation today, through:

Our Science - the Conservancy is a world leader in cutting-edge conservation science with 550 staff scientists around the globe.

Collaboration - we are experts at building coalitions with indigenous communities, governments, businesses and non-profits.

Working Locally and Globally - we work in 32 countries and all 50 United States, but we use our resources wisely — focusing on effectively protecting the world’s most ecologically important places.

By pledging funds to a Team Nature Conservancy runner or joining the cause as a fundraiser, YOU are an important part of an opportunity to move conservation from the sidelines of global priorities to the center of the world stage - starting with the 2011 San Francisco Marathon.
