THE STORY:
Kelly and Jon Shannon are running with Team Nature in DC to benefit The Nature Conservancy.
They are training to run the GW Parkway Classic, which will be held on Earth Day — April 22, 2012. It's a popular scenic 10-mile race along the George Washington Parkway in Virginia.
THEIR GOAL:
Raise $500 by April 1st, 2012. Funds will be used to plant oysters in the Chesapeake Bay which will help to restore the bay and preserve its diversity.
TEAM NATURE'S GOAL:
Raise $20,000 by Earth Day 2012 -- and ultimately help plant millions of oysters in the Chesapeake Bay. For every dollar raised, we can plant 5 oysters. Join Team Nature today and be a part of making a real difference in the bay and the health of our planet.
