THE STORY:
1.5 billion people live in extreme poverty. Many are women entrepreneurs who have plans for a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities – and with a little support, they can change many lives. These women reinvest 90% of their earnings back into their families, sending their children to school, ensuring they are well fed, and providing preventative healthcare.
Opportunity International provides more than five million people – 93% women – with the financial services (loans, insurance, savings accounts, training) they need to unlock their potential and create better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities.
What your donation can help support:
$15 helps provide a woman access to a savings account- and identification- for the first time in her life.
$20 funds a girl’s school fee loan for one month.
$80 pays a school fee loan to provide a semester of education for a young girl.
$142 funds a first loan for a woman in a Trust Group.
