THE STORY:
United Cerebral Palsy Association of Orange County, Inc. wrote -

Thirteen percent of children ages 13-17 have a developmental disability, and for more than 50 years, United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County has met the need for these children through providing early intervention services, special needs child care, and family support services throughout Orange County.
Although our original focus was cerebral palsy, we have seen a desperate need to broaden our services to autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, muscular dystrophy, and many other children at-risk to developing a disability. Our commitment to the Orange County community is to help children with disabilities reach their full potential, improve the quality of life for their families and foster an attitude of acceptance and inclusion. Children with special needs are more like other children than different from them. All children have a need for love, acceptance, friends, interests, and a sense of fulfillment. They also have dreams, talents, and stories to tell.
By joining Team Jake and Team UCP-OC Families in the OC Marathon you can help these children experience a Life Without Limits!
