THROUGH Organs R Us, The Relay promotes donation. 12 member teams run 194 miles through 36 cities and across the Golden Gate Bridge at midnight (ouch!). The transfer of the baton from runner to runner symbolizes the transfer of an organ from donor to recipient.

FOUNDED in 1996, Organs R Us ("ORU", "ORU and Friends") promotes organ donation through athletics. Of 110,000 Americans waiting for transplants, 20 die each day before a donor is found. Discuss your wishes regarding organ donation with your family and register online to be an organ donor.
ORU has generated publicity about the shortage of organ donors worth more than $25 million, supported transplant families facing life threatening illness, provided Transplant Olympics scholarships and purchased computers used to register organ donors online.
