The Truth on Health campaign was launched by Paul Pierce, Celtics team captain and NBA Champion, to help empower and encourage young people to lead healthier lifestyles.
The goal of The Truth on Health campaign is to create awareness and sustainable programming for young people to start learning about healthy living--incorporating physical fitness and healthy eating, and encouraging a commitment/pledge of 60 minutes per day dedicated to physical activity.
Our programs, FitClub34 and the Paul Pierce Activity, are all about staying healthy and having the best time in the world while doing it.
These programs not only provide children with the information, resources, and tools necessary to become more active and physically fit, kids can also track their activity and redeem cool prizes, such as an iPod Nano, Nintendo Wii, a Paul Pierce signed jersey, or the chance to meet the All-Star.
With childhood obesity, diabetes and other diseases on the rise, we need innovative and fun programs to motivate kids to be healthy.
