How many mothers are spending this Mother’s Day at the end of their rope and unsure of where to turn for help?
At United Way we believe that all metro Detroiters must have access to a quality education, a stable family income and basic needs, like food - the building blocks of a good quality of life.
Breakthrough programs like our 2-1-1 call service, which provides people with a simple, effective way to get connected to available resources in their area, are changing the odds for thousands of mothers and their families across metro Detroit. But funding for 2-1-1 has been drastically cut and we need help in securing the funds needed to continue this good work. That is why we are reaching out today and asking 200 people to join us in raising $1,000 each to ensure that 2-1-1 is there for the next mother who calls.
