I am enjoying this venture into Crowdrise. I'm no longer new to this venue, however, I'm always open to any suggestions or advice you can share would be appreciated. My focus here will be on raising money to support the BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF, http://www.betf.org). BETF seeks to provide funding for programs and services that advance the careers of African Americans in the IT industry 'from the classroom to the boardroom'.
I am convinced that it is important for young people in under-served communities to have strong guidance as it relates to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) curriculum. Therefore, most of my projects are geared towards STEM-based programs and scholarships.
