HERE'S THE STORY:
A Visit From St. Nicholas brings backpacks that have been filled to the brim with books and toys to 10 of our challenged elementary schools this December. The children will arrive to their classrooms to find the halls have been decorated with gold tinsel and their backpacks on their desks. On this magical day, St. Nicholas himself comes to visit each classroom and give kindness coins to each of the children and inspire them to be kind. Volunteers will come to each classroom and read the story of St. Nicholas to the students.
For some of these children, these will be the only gifts they will receive during the holidays and perhaps the first books they can call their very own. We do this each year because we believe that every child deserves to have books of their very own.
