THE STORY:

We welcome our 2012 team filled with veterans, newbies and wannabes. We are young, we are old, we are tall, we are short....together we will run or have pepperoni pizza/beer while the other van is running. Even though we are different, we all have the same thought in mind. "Where the #@!# is the finish line?"
Support our team, won't you? Without water, food, shoes, toilet paper (okay, maybe that's a bit extreme), we will run the full 199 miles on May 5 and 6 from Calistoga to Santa Cruz through 36 cities until we reach the finish line. Our runner 12 anchor, "that would be you (Leslee), so you better not trip and mess up the rest of the teams efforts", will be joined in the last 100 meters by the 11 other runners on the team and we will all cross together. This has been a tradition of ours since we started running this 4 years ago.
Organs R Us is the charity. I have a dear friend who had only 1 functioning kidney since birth. In his 40's, this kidney began to fail and he desperately needed a kidney transplant. He was on the wait list for many years. Many people on the wait list die before a match is found. Fortunately for Scott, he was given a second chance, a gift of life. So, please donate or I may send him by your house to see if you have an extra kidney laying around for his friends still on the waiting list...haha.
