ASIAN AMERICAN WOMEN ARTISTS ASSOCIATION INC
HERE'S THE STORY:
Support the Vision!
In addition to the Archives, Emerging Curators, A PLACE OF HER OWN and the Literary & Performing Arts programs, AAWAA presents several other programs including:
Speakers Bureau: AAWAA artists, scholars and others provide presentations about AAWAA, Asian American women in the arts, themselves and their work. The speakers bureau is available for lectures in the classroom, during functions and events.
Art Salons: Members and guests gather together to share their art, writing and perspectives in a safe and supportive environment. The salons build community and provide information, feedback and inspiration.
Workshops: AAWAA provides workshops that address professional development, artistic practice, public relations and technology. These are open to the public, geared toward the arts, individuals and organizations, and are often suitable for non-profits and arts advocates.
Exhibitions: AAWAA presents the works of Asian American women in the arts and documents the works through catalogs, video and photographs. Innovative concepts, interactive art works and educational programming invite the community to participate and learn on a deeper level.
Panel Discussions: AAWAA presents scholarly panels during the College Art Association Annual Conference to increase the national discussion of Asian American women in the arts.
Adopt AAWAA's programming in general and support our mission!
