Located a few blocks from the finish line in Santa Monica, Athletes for a Cure is a fundraising and awareness program of the Prostate Cancer Foundation that helps athletes as they play, run, bike, race or walk for a cure. Whether it’s your first 5K or fifth triathlon, a tennis tournament or a volleyball match, anyone can be an Athlete for a Cure. All money raised by Athletes for a Cure directly supports the Prostate Cancer Foundation by funding the world’s most promising research for discovering better treatments and a cure for prostate cancer.
We’re excited to be partnering for the first time with the Honda LA Marathon! We’re asking participants to join the Athletes for a Cure team on Crowdrise: http://www.crowdrise.com/afacLA
Athletes joining our team will enjoy the following benefits:
- Anyone who joins the AFAC team and raises at least $25 will receive an AFAC Welcome Kit with an AFAC t-shirt, a cook book, prostate cancer awareness wristbands and other goodies
- If you have your own entry, sign up and raise $250 and we’ll send you an AFAC uniform
- For $500, we’ll cover your entry and send you an AFAC uniform
- We have many prizes and incentives for Athletes who fundraise more!
