I have spent many years trying to fundraise and i have often found it frustrating, like so many of you have.
This was... until i found out about the NYC Marathon campaign in 2009.
This was such a hip, media savvy, fun campaign. It involved tens of thousands of people, it only asked for small amounts of money yet gave amazing giveaways, along with witty responses. It was a great thing to be a part of.
The campaign was such fun to be a part of. It showed a whole wave of us a new way of fundraising.
Then came Crowdrise.
This has given us a grassroot, media platform to our projects.
It has enabled us to reach a vast amount of people, setting a wave in motion across other media platforms. Creating a fun, friendly atmosphere to discuss and promote all the projects close to our hearts.
It also allows us to support each other and offer friendship and advice.
Please take a look at the projects i have, i care about each of them greatly.
Jaime and myself have become good friends through the site, we have now decided to go to Kenya next year and further our involvement with the MWCT, by teaching in one of the schools. We have launched several projects benefiting the MWCT.
