Stuff about me would include a whole bunch of boring nonsense... so I will try not to make this "about me" section sound like something off of a dating website ( which I have never tried so I can only assume what people put on there).
I have a degree in English from an extremely reputable, Ivy- league class institution otherwise known as Louisiana College. In case you haven't heard of it don't feel too bad... only a minute percent of the population even knows it exists. There I studied English, history, and how to manage the all important triage of work, school and a social life.
For now, I just recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee. It is a pretty cool place, but I miss the slow life of country folk livin'. I like to think my life is more than just "what I do" in my job, and people are more than just the 9-5 glimpse that they give you 40 hours a week. Of course, working pays the bills and buys you stuff, but it doesn't define every single aspect of your life. So give your cubicle buddy a break every so often... they'd rather be out fishing, too!
I like what most (smart) people like... LSU football of course! :)
Traveling, watching any type of sporting event minus soccer, reading, writing, watching movies, writing down quotes on random objects, taking naps, spending an inordinate amount of time on Wikipedia, and of course hanging with family, friends, and interesting people all come in at a close second.
Things close to the heart include supporting local events/charities, trying to understand someone elses way of life and their stories, fighting for what I believe in and just in general always rooting for the "underdog".
The oil spill is what really got me concerned with giving back to the community. I have lived my entire life on the Gulf Coast and recently moved away. Not being there to physically help is the most useless feeling when you know so many people touched by this. Any small amount can help greatly!
The last thing to know is that I am terrible at summarizing things... so reading my page will always be the equivalent of reading an epic novel
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
There's no real reason why you should vote for me other than the fact that I once wrote a paper in high school ( eons ago) about refugee camps in Africa......
But reasons aside, you should vote for me because I am an average person just trying to make a small difference in the world somewhere. Yes, that sounds like a total pride thing, and on some level it may be just that... but if someone benefits from it, it was all worth it.
