i admire the work yall are doing. Please check out my project Camp New Directions. It is a camp that provides a safe haven for kids to just be kids for a week and escape the troubles at home. All of the counselors are unpaid teen volunteers so we're trying to fundraise any way we can to make camp happen again next year. And we really need to because it's the 30th Anniversary of camp! Even spreading the word will do wonders :)

Our Mission

Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser. Mission Statement:
Amazon Watch works to protect the rainforest and advance the rights of indigenous peoples of the Amazon Basin. Our mission is particularly critical given the Amazon's incredible biodiversity and its role in maintaining global climate stability.

Organization Description:
Founded in 1996, Amazon Watch works to protect the rainforest and advance the rights of indigenous peoples in the Amazon Basin. In our work, we partner with indigenous and environmental organizations in campaigns for human rights, corporate accountability and the preservation of the Amazon's ecological systems. We believe that the most effective way to defend the Amazon rainforest is to support and advance the rights of indigenous peoples, whose territories encompass over one quarter of the Amazon rainforest, and who have lived in harmony with its abundant biodiversity for millennia. In the Amazon region of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, Amazon Watch is working directly with indigenous communities to build local capacity and advance long-term protection for their lands.
