Our Mission
Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser.
Rivers clogged with sewage. Water supplies threatened with radioactive waste. Rivers so polluted that they could spread deadly diseases like cholera.
It sounds like something from a third world country. Hard to believe these are some of the threats facing rivers in the US today.
And it gets worse: nearly 65 percent of all Americans get their drinking water from these very same rivers. It’s critical that we stop these threats to protect our clean water. That's what we do
American Rivers is the leading conservation organization fighting for healthy rivers so communities can thrive. We work to protect and restore the nation’s rivers and the clean water that sustains people, wildlife, and nature.
