Hi, my name is Anita and I am fifteen years old. I have started a fundraiser for my education and dreams of some day becoming a fashion designer. I have been drawing and creating new sketches for a varity of different styles since I was in 6th grade. Everytime I have the chance I love to pick up a pencil and paper and just think of new ideas for different outfits. Now, I do realize this fundraiser may not be as important as some of the variety of fundraisers on this website and around the world, but the thing is I really need to raise money for my education. And also, I live in a single-income household and the cost of education is expensive. I decided to start here, if I really want to make my dreams to come true.
Even though I know how to draw and think of new sketches, I would really love to see how it is to actually work as a fashion designer. I want to explore the buisness side of fashion and see different mueseums of where fashion began. And I have realized that if I start exploring these different things, I will begin to become prepared for the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) ,where I dream of going to college one day. This school is very serious about each and every student that it accepts. I would like began preparing for this school to show that I am very serious about this career.
This is where these donations will be of extreme help to me. I want to apply to go to the Fashion camp in Manhattan, NY. This application and register will look extremely well when I apply to FIT. This program is basically all summer long and teaches students sewing, marketing, photo shooting, and advertising side of being a fashion designer. The only problem is that this camp is very expensive considering I live in a single-income family. Any donation will be an extreme help to me.
