Bay Cove's 2012 Boston Marathon Team:
Each day, Bay Cove Human Services provides effective, compassionate care to over 4,000 individuals and families who face the challenges of developmental disabilities, mental illness, drug and alcohol addiction and aging at over 130 sites in Boston and southeastern Massachusetts.
This year, members of our Marathon team are raising funds for each of Bay Cove’s five major service areas.

Bay Cove has a simple vision: Full, rich lives for people facing the greatest challenges. Bay Cove serves more than 14,000 people each year and, by supporting Bay Cove, you can help make it possible for each of them to work towards realizing this goal. Bay Cove's programs reflect the organization's commitment to treating each person it serves with dignity and respect, and to providing the highest quality services. If Bay Cove stopped there, it would be accomplishing a lot, but it would still be falling short of its vision.
So, what is it that helps a person pursue a full, rich life?
It is the free home repairs provided through Kit Clark's Senior Home Improvement Program that has enabled a grandmother in Dorchester to continue living independently in her own home. It is the iPad that is opening up a whole new world for a non-verbal, developmentally-disabled man living in one of Bay Cove's group homes. It is the new clothes that gave the Center Club member greater confidence as he interviewed for his first job, helping in his recovery from mental illness.
These are but a few examples of the many ways in which your support can help transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our community: children and adults with developmental disabilities; people facing addictions; people working to recover from mental illness; and people determined to live independently, despite the challenges associated with aging.
