Our Mission

Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser.

B Bryan Preserve Wildlife Foundation is dedicated to the breeding and preservation of the critically endangered Grevy's zebra, endangered Hartmann's Mountain Zebra and now, Rothschild Giraffe.

Background:

We (Dr. Frank and Judy  Bryan Mello) started BBP in 1998 in MS preserving a few species of African antelope, Sable, Kudu and the rare Roan Antelope. When a corporate downsizing happend to them, Frank took  retirement and Judy took a corporate position out west and the  11 Antelope were moved to Northern California in 2005. Since then, BBP has expanded to a 110 acre facility that now includes the critically endangered Grevy's Zebra and endangered Hartmann's Mountain Zebra.

So now why add Rothschild Giraffe? With less than 650 individuals remaining in the wild, the future is uncertain for the Rothschild's giraffe. This subspecies is already extinct in Sudan and numbers are dangerously low in Kenya and Uganda.

Frank is building a Giraffe house that will hold up to 6 adult Giraffe. Our short term focus will be to hold male Rothschild for other zoos so that these animals genetic diversity can be held and used to help stabalize the population.

Our fundraising need is to help finish out the Giraffe house and raise money to help maintain their care. We appreciate your support.
