HERE'S THE STORY:
It costs $250 to send a underprivileged, special needs or at-risk kid to camp. My goal is to get 30 more kids to camp this summer! The first group of kids arrive at camp on May 26th, and we still need more money to get the rest of the kids (who come in June and August) to camp!
I'm getting the word out to about 200 people. If each person gives about $35 we'll get there. So, one option is to just click the Donate button and be done.
What would be even better is if you help me fundraise. Sign up and create an account on Crowdrise. Then, come back to my page and click Help Me Fundraise. Clicking that button gives you a project page that you can forward to your own friends and family. Imagine how amazing it'll be when 20 people raise $1,000 and we're able to send 80 kids to camp.
Brian and I had the privileged of taking the first group of kids up to camp in the summer of 2001. It was an amazing experience to see the kids get into a lake for the first time. Even though they didn't know how to swim and had never been in a lake, they put on life jackets and jumped in! It's a wonderful organization to be part of.
