HERE'S THE STORY:
Between September 20th-24th, I will attempt a solo bike trip around Jeju Island off the coast of South Korea in an effort to raise funds for flood victims in Pakistan. Over ONE-FIFTH of the country has been submerged under water, and nearly 20 million citizens have been affected.,,,and 8 million of those are children. Imagine waking up one day and hearing the entire state of Florida had been wiped away by flood waters.
The destruction that this natural disaster has created in Pakistan has affected more people than the 2005 tsunami, yet not nearly enough has been raised to help victims during this crucial time of survival and recovery.
But you can help! I know it isn't much, but any little bit can still make a difference. I will be biking 250km in 5 days, and my original goal was to just make it around the entire island. But I have decided to make a new, more challenging goal of raising $2 for every kilometer I ride. This is my first attempt at a multiple day bike trek, as well as my first time organizing a mission for a cause. Your donations will not only inspire me to keep riding, but you'll be aiding in the relief efforts in Pakistan.

*As of September 5th, a very generous and anonymous donor helped surpass the set goal of raising $500!! Apparently I underestimated the kindness of people out there who are willing to support this cause! With that said, I'm increasing my original goal from $2 per each kilometer, to $5/km....which means the NEW GOAL is $1250.00!

I DID IT...well the biking part that is. But I still need your help in meeting my goal of $1250! We're so close! Thanks so much to everyone who supported me on this trip...your donations were truly inspiring and helped me push forward when I was tired.
