Brigid's Crossing Foundation is a unique, non-profit, cat rescue & healing sanctuary where our cat friends create and live in their own chosen clans within five acres of lush tropical greenery and inviting residences.
Located amidst the natural beauty of Naples Florida, Brigid's Crossing Sanctuary is a no-kill, no-cage, nature-oriented center where comfort and respect for the animal is of the highest priority.
We are focused on the rescue and care of homeless, sick and abandoned animals while teaching about the path of service and the ways in which it enhances life.
The majority of our animals are special needs cats which have been rescued from almost certain death because of the mistaken belief by some that they are unadoptable and therefore have no right to live a full and respected life.
Be it the love of nature feral cats who just need a space on the earth to be wild and free or the FIV+, FELV+, HW+, Behavioral Issue, Elderly or other Special Needs kitties, we give them a respectful, loving and safe place on the planet.
Brigid's Crossing's co-founder, Heather Burch has, over time created an entirely new type of animal sanctuary that not only provides each cat with an extraordinary living environment, an entirely customized organic feeding regimen but also a treatment and healing model that draws from the allopathic, homeopathic and spiritual treatment protocols from around the world.
Many cats arrive at Brigid's Crossing Sanctuary on the very precipice of death yet are, in most cases, nurtured and healed back to full health defying the prognoses of vets as well as state and local humane caregivers. The critically ill cats that do not pull around are allowed a respectful hospice care transition from their earthbound lives rather than euthanasia. This is a truly No-Kill approach to animal care.
When you donate funds, volunteer or adopt an animal from Brigid's Crossing you support a greater concept of respect and humane treatment of animals. You also support an ongoing study and practice of balance and unity between the earth, the animals, the people and the world at large.
