Our Mission
Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser.
There are over 50 million orphans and street children in Africa. Whether orphaned by AIDS, civil warfare, disease or other tragedy, these children need our love, support, and inspiration. The Brigitte and Bobby Sherman Children's Foundation felt that building a " Musical Village" for orphans that focused on music for the children, would bring joy into the community and give a sense of pride for these children as they grow up and tell their stories.
The children supported by the Brigitte & Bobby Sherman Children's Foundation will be educated to the highest standards and will be provided with a music program to keep traditional African music alive in their community of Ada. The children will also be taught skills, such as growing their own food and surplus to sell to neighboring villages. In Africa, the drum is the life force of their musical traditions. Our children will find their voice through the gift of music.
We recently purchased five acres of land in the village of Ada Foah. The children's dormitories are currently under construction and we are now raising $25,000 to build a kitchen.
