Gainesville Rabbit Rescue is a fostering system for bunnies over much of central/north Florida. They do not have a facility, but rely on wonderful volunteers to care for the bunnies until they find a furever home. There are so many that they get from people who neglect them as well as people who buy a cute baby bunny for Easter and decide to abandon it a few months later. This is crazy. I mean you don’t get your kid a reindeer at Christmas, right? Gainesville Rabbit Rescue checks out people who adopt a bunny, and their fee is only $55 (of which $45 goes to the vet for spaying or neutering). They need funds for additional medical care and food as bunnies eat a lot. We adopted Victoria from them last month. I will have a picture of her soon. Even a small donation will do a lot of good. Cat and dog rescues totally rock, but please don’t forget about the bunnies!
