There's a huge need for a kitchen at the Lumbrera de Caballona School in the Dominican Republic. Of the 100-plus children attending the school, 60% of whom are Haitian, most arrive not having eaten breakfast, and quite possibly not having eaten a meal the night before. The school needs $6,500 USD to build a kitchen to feed the children daily lunch, and to expand its bathroom facilities (currently one toilet serves the entire school). Watch this video to see the school and hear Skip1.org's founder Shelene Bryan talking about the kitchen project.
