Camp New Directions

Camp New Directions is a camp where at-risk or underprivileged youth can come together for a week and just be kids without having to worry about what is going on at home. The counselors are unpaid teen volunteers that train throughout the year in order to make camp as great as possible. Each counselor is paired with one or two kids and strives to make that week the best week of all time for his/her kid. Camp can change lives and save lives. Will you help us? If you donate please make sure you specifically state that you want the money to go towards Camp New Directions :)
The camp charges $42 per person per day. We estimated that we would have 50 people so that is $2,100 per day for Sun-Fri so $12,600. Our camp director and assistant director make about $1000 each for camp so that adds up to $14,600. Then our three other staff members make about $500 each so $16100. We also have to pay out the lifeguard so that was around $300. So that is at $16400. The camp is about 45 mins away and we have to transport the kids so gas money for at least 4 vans there and back adds up as well. So any money that we have left over from that goes to art supplies, but usually were skimming the bottom so our art supplies go all of about one day before we run out sadly. I can get you a more exact estimate to add up to $18,000 if you would like. This was just off the top of my head.
