STUFF ABOUT ME:
I'm only twenty years old, and i was told i couldn't change the world but if i can make one child laugh then as far as I'm concern i have made a difference even if its a small one!
I have always been told by my parents i should work with children and I do. I love my job but like everyone i take things granted. So i decided to volunteer my weekends working a Brian house, a hospice near where I live and after just spending one hour with some of the children there it made me realize how lucky i actually am.
Since even after all they have dealt with and all the bad days they have they still have a smile on their faces. Which makes me think maybe i can make a difference.
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
Because Brian House is a ‘home from home’ environment for children and young adults who have life threatening and/or life limiting conditions. So care can be provided so the family have opportunity to experience times of relief and normality. To give ‘mum’ a break from the 24-hour demands of the child with multiple complex needs. To give ‘dad’ a chance to see his wife as more than just a nurse and to give brothers and sisters a time to be the centre of attention for a change. These things, that we take for granted, are something special for our patients and their families.

Your commitment to conservation is awesome and I just voted for you 'cuz I'm a sucker for my fellow nature fans. So I'm wondering - what are you doin' for St. Patrick's Day?
Before donning your party frocks, I'd like to ask you to think about what you'll spend for your night on the town and match those funds with a donation to The Nature Conservancy. Or consider staying in that night and donating the money you would have spent - you could even host and get all your buddies together and have them donate what they would have spent out.
