Hi all..
I am very excited to be participating in the 2012 NYC Triathlon to help raise funds for Team Drive4Rebecca on Sunday July 8th. I will be the running leg of a triathlon at 6.5 miles.
Rebecca and her family have been raising funds for years to advance autism research, for education, and to help parents become stronger advocates for their children with special needs.
My goal is to raise $10,000 to help support their efforts. Half of the funds I raise will benefit the wonderful programs at The Children's Therapy Center (CTC) in Fairlawn, NJ which is very dear to my heart. The Children’s Therapy Center is a non-profit organization that serves children with disabilities ages 18 months through 13 years of age – providing creative education, therapies and secondary programs. As many of you know, CTC graduate student, Jonah Gold has been a very important person to my family and I. Having an opportunity to watch him grow and develop at The Children’s Therapy Center from schooling and therapies to outside programs, has been a joy. He has been so happy there and his story has inspired me to want to give back to the CTC.
