STUFF ABOUT ME:
I've been waiting a while to update this because I want this to be perfect. I think that says a lot about me - trying to be perfect when it's clearly not possible.
Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly aware that I don't have to be perfect to be a good person. (Also, how many times have I said perfect in this post haha??). I just want to do my part to positively impact the world.
My Causes:
TWLOHA - To Write Love On Her Arms
TWLOHA saved my life and has done so much for so many of my friends. Although it is a relatively "new" non-profit, it has been one of the most effective at meeting people where they are: online, in bookstores, at concerts, etc. I can't put into words how much TWLOHA means to me, only that I truly believe Love is the Movement.
Run for the Gulf:
Ok, admission: I've been a One Tree Hill fan forever, so when I heard Sophia Bush was going to train for and run a half marathon for the Gulf (my home), I was ecstatic! She's trying to raise $150K by November, and I'm honored to help her raise the money. Also, if you're a fan, she will give a signed photo to anyone who donates $50 or more to the cause! (P.s. - awesome fact of the day? She's a TWLOHA supporter too!)
The A21 Campaign - Combating human trafficking
I have to admit that I only recently became aware of human trafficking and all its horrible statistics (that some of the victims are forced to service up to 40 men a day). I am planning on going to Greece next summer, though, to work with the A21 Campaign in their quest to help save the victims from their pimps, get them into shelters for protection, and help them transition into society.
- I want to raise $10K before I leave next summer, and I'm hoping to raise most of it on this site, so please, please help if you can!

Because the only way I'll ever be a doctor is on Crowdrise ;) And I would love to be one as soon as possible - because what sounds cooler than Dr. Claire Biggs?
