CROWDRISE IMPACTCROWDRISE BADGES Every week we feature one project that's having an extra special Impact for its cause. The pic and story below come directly from the project organizer. The moment that someone's project is chosen for the Impact page the project organizer receives the coveted Crowdrise Bologna Badge (CBB). Please scroll way down to check out all the Crowdrise Impact People. We recommend spending at least six hours supporting the current Impact project by donating, fundraising and telling everyone in the world about it. If you have a Crowdrise project that's having an awesome Impact, please your story and one photo, along with the secret code “Turnip Chair” and we'll get you into the running to show up on the Crowdrise Impact page and get the Bologna Badge.

I am an avid animal right activist who also happens to love running. I will be running my first ultra-marathon this year to support National Search Dog Foundation.
My fundraising has a huge impact on both these dogs and on the people they rescue. The Foundation saves potential dogs from the shelters and trains them to become search and rescue dogs. These dogs won’t get adopted at the shelters because they are the "crazy ones" with extremely high energy. Many of them are 24 hours away from euthanasia.
My fundraiser is to help the Foundation to rescue more dogs and have more search and rescue teams ready for deployment when disasters strike.
This way, we help them help us when we are or our loved ones are under a pile of rubble. These dogs once abandoned in a shelter, will often go above and beyond duty to save someone, risking, and at times losing their lives in the process.
I think they are amazing, and I am proud to be supporting an organization that solely depends on individual donations.
