HERE'S THE STORY:
"Cool the Kids" at FLI is exactly what you think it is! Family Learning Institute (FLI) tutors low income students in reading, writing and math. Last summer, we hosted a "Super U" program to help our 5th grade students get ready for the huge transition to middle school. It was great except for the fact that it was about 95 degrees in our building the first day of the program. There was no $$ to have the air conditioning on, so we moved Super U to the Ann Arbor District Library (THANK YOU!) where they cooled us for free.
That worked last year, but this year we really need to have the students here at FLI because we are hosting book clubs and workshops. When you donate to Cool the Kids, your money will provide that whooosh of cool air for our students who come for tutoring when their friends are swimming, watching TV, playing video games, eating ice cream.....Donate now to COOL the KIDS!
