CTC Pop-Up Coffee Shops Rafiki Link, an education initiative of CTC International, connects Kenyan students to students in North America. The program uses information technology in exciting ways to encourage meaningful, curriculum-based interaction. We destroy stereotypes and build relationships through three steps, THINK, LINK and ACT.
This November, 10 North American schools in collaboration with youth in Kenya will 'ACT' and throw Pop-Up Coffee Shops on their campuses.
By charging $5 for a cup of coffee and a snazzy L.I.F.E jacket (reuseable coffee sleeve), schools will compete to raise the most funds for Rafiki Link and other CTC initiatives.
Our current needs include the school fees for 9 of our Kenyan students and equipping a Knowledge and Resource Center to help our youth build skills for the 21st century. Each school will contribute designs for the center's mural with the winning school's design taking center stage.
So why this fundraising page? For parents, friends and loved ones of students at participating schools, you can still help your favorite school win by donating to their school team below.
Beyond that, we want to give everyone the opportunity to support cross-cultural relationships, develop global perspectives and raise a new generation of tech-savvy leaders!
Be the first to Start a Team for this Event and someone way out of your league will probably want to kiss you.
