HERE'S THE STORY:
On 25th July 2011 Dayle Walker and Steven Prime, will be cycling across America to raise money and awareness for coffee growing communities. All money raised will be going to Coffee Kids, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of coffee farmers and their families predominately in Central & South America. Our target is to raise £10,000 which equates to $16,400 approx.
We are two friends that have done a lot together. We've laughed at each other and with each other, we haven't cried because we're to manly for that, but we've poured sweat running half marathons, running from strange girls waiting for us outside the men's Toilets...We've backed each other up, sometimes 4 on1 (good work Steve)
We have travelled the world together, road tripped through Europe, discovered adventures and learnt new things...and now we are to cycle across AMERICA...
We have a fondness for adventure and to push ourselves, just for our own ambitions, our own sense of living rather than existing so that when we eventually mature, find wives, have children we can tell them what we did when we were their age...
We also know of how fortunate we are. We have good jobs, live in a great house, eat well and have loving and supporting families and friends, and are free to do the things we have done. But we also know that in the 21st Century world not all are as fortunate, and so we wish to take advantage of our freedom to help those that are restricted to the lives they lead, through no fault of their own...
