HERE'S THE STORY:
The Sharing Foundation's mission is to help meet the physical, emotional, educational and medical needs of orphaned and seriously disadvantaged children in Cambodia. Our goal is to help prevent some of the problems associated with poverty by developing, in consultation with Cambodian community leaders, programs to improve the health and welfare of these children and their families. The Sharing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Why Beth Kanter Supports This Charity:
I adopted two children from Cambodia, Harry and Sara. They have food, health, and even laptops. But many children in Cambodia do not have what my children have. We want to give back to this country that brought us our wonderful children.
Education is the path out of poverty in Cambodia. The Sharing Foundation offers college scholarships to 10 students every year. Since 2006, my family has sponsored a student. Our first student, Leng Sopharath graduated in 2010.
We are sponsoring Keo Savon who grown up in the Kampong Speu Orphanage where my daughter spent the first year of her life. Keo Savon graduated from the local high school, steadily holding #3 and #5 in her class of 65 students. She is studying chemistry, math, physics, biology, and Khmer literature at the University where she hopes to major in architecture.
