Hello dear friends,

There comes a time in every man's life when he wants a change. He wants to do something wild. Welcome to my here and now. Stone Brewing Co. is hosting its Stone 16th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival on August 17th and 18th, which will raise some serious bucks for local charities. (Last year's anniversary raised over $240,000, yo.) And this year, the Stone Dyehards for Charity returns, which is where you all come into play.

Kind folks like yourself step in and make a pledge to get me to dye my hair BRIGHT red for a week, and all the funds pledged go straight to these awesome charities: Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos, San Diego Blood Bank, Rady Children's Hospital San Diego, and Big Brothers / Big Sisters of San Diego County.

Now, I hear what you're thinking... "But Randy, you've already dyed your hair a stupid color this year, and it wasn't even for charity!" I know, and it looked pretty flippin' sweet, didn't it? But that's why I'm gonna go one up, and make it even more grotesque: I'm gonna sport a BRIGHT RED MULLET!! (Or the closest I can get to one... I haven't cut my hair in at least four months and I think it will make for a pretty nice party in the back.)

My goal is to raise $1,000, and I need your help to pull this off. As if the idea of a bright red mullet on my handsome face wasn't enticing enough, I'll sweeten the deal and MATCH EVERY DOLLAR donated to my fundraiser, up to $1,000. Now, I'm certainly not swimming in a vault of moo-lah like ol' Uncle Scrooge, but I haven't felt anywhere near as charitable as I want to be recently, so I thought why not go for it?

So, whaddya say? How much do you love me? How much do you want to help these very deserving charities? There's no amount too little (except $0, you selfish bastard), so please just give whatever you feel comfortable giving. And remember that each dollar you give is doubled since I will be matching the first $1,000! (Plus: ridiculous red mullet!)
