Greening Youth Foundation (GYF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to nurture enthusiastic and responsible environmental stewardship and healthy lifestyle choices among underserved disconnected children, youth and young adults.
GYF operates two core programs:
The Public School Initiative
An interactive, hands-on, 12-week environmental education and wellness program created for K-12 which includes our C.L.E.A.N. (Children Living Energetically Advancing Nature) program, a student-run environmental club called Eco-Force, a recycling program and a Green Speaker Series.
Youth Conservation Corps
Through our cooperative agreement and partnerships with various public land agencies, GYF is able to expose diverse, job-ready candidates to public land sites across the country through internships that lead to conservation careers, service crews that protect and maintain cultural and physical monuments for public enjoyment, and special projects such as youth training and retrofit initiatives.
