From February 26 to March 3, I will be working at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in Washington D.C. through the University of Michigan School of Information's Alternative Spring Break Program.

Using the skills that I've gained thus far at the School of Information and University of Michigan, I will be helping the FTC's Records Office to develop an education program focusing on records management laws and procedures. Using screencast videos and podcasts, I will be creating a training program that users can access on the go or in the office, helping to ensure that federal records management guidelines are being met.

Alternative Spring Break is fully funded by funraising. Students are asked to contribute only $25 toward their trip. Needless to say, this amazing opportunity would not be possible without community support and contributions.

Here's the actual price breakdown:

My goal is to raise enough money to cover the cost of lodging and transportation for myself and 3 of my friends who are also going to D.C. with me.
