BENEFITING: Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault
EVENT DATE: Oct 22, 2010
THE STORY:
Help RCASA work to end violence against our youth by contributing to our Safer Youth Project.
Sexual Violence Against Youth is linked to truancy, school-drop, dropping grades, pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, substance use and abuse, mental health disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, poor self image and self-worth, and crime.
The mission of the Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault is to provide education, prevention, and intervention of sexual violence in our community. Our vision is a community free from violence and safety for our youth.
We provide 24-hour crisis support through hotline and medical accompaniment. We provide legal advocacy and case management services and comprehensive counseling services. We provide education, outreach and prevention to members of the community.
In tribute to the 4 survivors this week alone who needed crisis support, forensic evidence collection and medical care. 3 years ago
