DNA & All Day Foundation wrote -
This football season, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, and Adrian Peterson are asking you to join them in raising money for programs to support at-risk kids, and they are rewarding you with great prizes! Check out www.facebook.com/dnafoundation for new prize announcements!
The money raised through Football for Good will go directly to programs that support youth, help them build self esteem, stay healthy, stay out of gangs and reduce their risk of falling prey to trafficking.
Some key facts about children:
-Currently, 16.4 million or approximately 22 percent of children in the U.S., live in poverty.
-Every 8 seconds, a high school student drops out
-A child is abused or neglected every 42 seconds
-Every two minutes a child enters foster care
-It is estimated that more than one million kids are currently homeless
-Within 48 hours of leaving home, an adolescent is likely to be approached to participate in a form of commercial sexual exploitation. Traffickers target these homeless children because they are often vulnerable and desperate.
Help us raise money and make a difference in children's lives and we’ll reward you with great prizes!
Impact:
$100 helps prepare one girl for athletic and academic success as part of the AD Elite basketball team
$50 helps one athlete participate in the Special Olympics
$20 helps send a child to the Adrian Peterson Football Camp
$10 can provide multiple meals for hungry children in the United States
$200 can help rescue a girl who is being forced into sex slavery in India
Participants:
Adrian Peterson (Minnesota Vikings): $5,000 per touchdown (Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore will match his contribution, and Victor Ortiz will donate $2500 per Peterson touchdown)
