THE STORY:

My mission is to raise funds for Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary located in St. Pauls, NC. They are currently fundraising in order to expand their sanctuary to include FEL/FIV+ cats. This is an area of animal welfare that is very close to my heart, due to a personal and painful experience with a sweet male cat named Bentley who was a stray with FIV. To find out more about the valuable service they are already providing to blind cats, please visit their website at blindcatrescue.com  and check out their facebook page facebook.com/pages/Blind-Cat-Rescue-and-Sanctuary-Inc/121386005165.

For those of you who are uncomfortable about online donations, you can send a check or money order directly to Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary. Their address is:

Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary

3101 E Great Marsh Church Road

St Pauls,  NC 28384

Please tell them that you found your way there Because Of Bentley! An email to me would be appreciated also, so I can keep track of the donations.

Contact me at becauseofbentley@gmail.com.

Join me in assisting Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary to achieve their goal. Thank YOU!!

In gratitude,

Prairie Rose

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011 UPDATE:

They are now starting to clear the area for the new building. Very exciting! I've added a photo.

Wednesday, March 9th , 2011 UPDATE:

I'm pleased to report that the building has been delivered and the frame is going up. I've posted a couple more photos. Funds are still needed to complete the building and supply it with all the necessary things to make a comfortable and safe haven for the FELV and FIV+ cats they will be welcoming when it is completed. I'm thrilled to have reached 10% of my goal but could really use some help with that other 90%. Thank YOU!

Thursday, March 17th, 2011 UPDATE:

The new building has been put together and it's UP! I have added two more photos. There are still awnings, landscaping, an enclosed cat patio area, and the inside to finish. The fundraiser is still on to assist with the finishing touches, so PLEASE consider donating today to help get this project finished. The sooner the better because it's more than likely they already have a waiting list of FIV/FELV cats that need sanctuary.

I know that with a struggling economy many are having to make tough choices about where to spend their money and we are being pulled in so many directions right now, but keep in mind that animals in need can not wait for a stronger economy. The devastation and sad situation in Japan is on all our minds. Please give in any way you can to assist with the rescue and recovery operations for the people and animals of Japan!

As always, my gratitude for your donations is bottomless.

The Rum Tum Tugger is a Curious Cat: If you offer him pheasant he would rather have grouse. If you put him in a house he would much prefer a flat, If you put him in a flat then he'd rather have a house. If you set him on a mouse then he only wants a rat, If you set him on a rat then he'd rather chase a mouse. 3 years ago
