HERE'S THE STORY:
In August of 2006, I suffered a life altering spinal cord injury rendering me an incomplete quadriplegic. Almost four years later, I received an Able Flight scholarship where I was driven to success at Purdue University with an overwhelming amount of support in earning my Sport Pilot Certificate. Becoming a pilot was almost secondary to what else I’ve taken away from this program. Throughout my experience with Able Flight, there have been countless individuals who have completely changed my world and touched me in ways they may never understand.
My goal for Freedom Flight 2011 is not only to travel 2,000 miles in order to help raise money for another hopeful scholarship recipient but also to illustrate the importance in believing that having a disability does not define an individual nor should it hold anyone back.
Please join me in expanding such an amazing organization and helping to change another’s life one donation at a time.
