HERE'S THE STORY:
We are hosting a golf outing to raise money that is used to support our free medical clinic.
This clinic is named in the memory of my father. For eight years prior to his premature death, my father gave from his heart. He saw patients at the Grace Centers of Hope every single Wednesday. He treated ailments from the common cold to AIDS. He gave people the assistance and dignity that they were lacking. Prior to his death he had a dream to open a completely free medical clinic to meet this desparate need in our community. Sadly, he was not able to witness the completion of what he started. Incredibly, a tremendous team of people committed themselves to ensure that this dream would become a reality and now my father's legacy lives on.
Today, there is an incredible team of volunteers who assist people in our community with medical treatment daily. The clinic treats hundreds of people each month. It is a wonderful place and your support will go a long way.
The mission of The Burnstein Community Health Clinic is to provide primary free medical health care and dental services to low income uninsured and underinsured families of our neighborhood community in a caring compassionate atmosphere regardless of race, religion, or creed.
The volunteer team sees approximately 150-200 patients and fills 300-400 prescriptions a month. The new clinic has four examination rooms, one procedure room, two dental examination rooms with x-ray capabilities, and a pharmacy/laboratory. This new facility supports the vision for more doctors, nurses, dentists and non-medical volunteers to reach at least 5,500 patients per year.
Clinic Services
All of the following services are provided free to all patients at the GBCHC:
- basic primary care
- patient education
- disease prevention & screening
- patient navigation
- women's health, including gynecological care
- men's health
- laboratory testing
- help with attaining free medications through the Patient Assistant Program
