What is Girl Up?
The United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up campaign mobilizes American girls to become a powerful force for change in these girls’ lives. By supporting Girl Up, thousands of girls in countries like Malawi, Liberia, Ethiopia, and Guatemala can go to school, see a doctor, and basically, change the world. Your “High Five” donation of $5 or more can help make that happen.
The 600 million adolescent girls in the developing world are bright, talented, and full of dream, but are often forgotten and ignored. Together, we can give them a voice.

*Turn a tiny closet of a health clinic in Malawi into a building that can serve 130,000 youth
*Provide school fees that allow girls to stay in school instead of being forced to work
*Supports camps for girls to learn leadership, as well as brush up on their math & science skills
Can you believe less than 25 percent of girls finish elementary school in Malawi? Nearly half of all girls are married by 18, and one in four girls are teen moms. This is ridiculous – and we can do something to help adolescent girls across the globe.
