THE STORY:
Since 2003, Growing Hope has been dedicated to improving lives of people and communities through gardening and healthy food access right here in Ypsilanti, Michigan. By the end of 2011, we will be permanently headquartered in our Growing Hope Center, a landmark education focused 1.4-acre, sustainable, urban farm.
We're committed to doing BIG things with heart, skill, and panache! So, when 5 wonderful (slightly insane) members of our community decided to run the ING NYC marathon, we jumped in whole-heartedly. Over the next 8 months, watch the progress of our running fiends: Hannah Ashmore, Michael Edison, Jessica Hustoles, Jennifer Canvasser and Gretchen Cavanaugh.
