HERE'S THE STORY:
A friend once told me, “It’s not okay to just sit back and let things happen when you can make a difference!” This has been the perfect mantra for me. Until I’m unable to make a difference, I am responsible to make a difference!
My adventure with Team Will began in 2005 when my friend’s son, William, was fighting a battle of his life against a rare and aggressive form of cancer. William was only 17 months old when he lost his fight against this atrocious disease. It’s wasn’t a fair fight and William didn’t deserve to earn his wings so young!
In 2006, my family supported my crusade by joining others and riding across the U.S. in 10-days to raise needed awareness and funds to eradicate this deadly enemy called cancer. We called ourselves, “Team Will,” in little William’s honor and memory. That trip changed my life forever! I realized that little Will’s family wasn’t alone and there were thousands of children in the battle for lives!
In memory of a little child’s fight against Cancer, Team Will continues to GO THE DISTANCE to bring hope for children with cancer.
This will be my fourth trip with Team Will and like every trek before this one, I will be thinking of little William who is making a difference in this world because I’m not going to sit back and let things happen – I’m going to make a difference for him and the rest of TW’s Heroes!

“Go the Distance 2012” is set for June 24 - July 3, 2012. This time riding from San Francisco, CA to Boston, MA, in 10 days, Team Will plans to cross 14 states, visit 18 hospitals and participate in 7 community rallies with a goal of raising $125,000 for family support services and childhood cancer research.
