My name is Guro. I'm 17 years old and from Norway. I think volunteering and giving back is very important. I am a member of the biggest association for animal protection in Norway, and I donate to them every year. I also used to be a junior leader for the local Red Cross.
I've grown up loving nature and spending as much time as possible outside. Just last year, we had a big oil spill at the coast near where I live. It was the worst oil spill in Norwegian history, and hundreds and hundreds of animals died. This is one of the reasons why I think it's important to help with the oil spill in the Gulf. I saw what happened here last year, and the oil spill in the Gulf is so much bigger, I can only imagine how much damaged has been done.
I love animals, and have had animals my whole life. My dog is one of the most important things to me, and he's learned me so much.
Other than that I love photography, music, sports and just having fun! I try to be positive and optimistic and love life.
Please donate to Austin and Sophia! They inspire me to help as much as I can, and they are great role models!
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
I might be young, but that doesn't mean I can't make a change. If you vote for me, you vote a girl with a passion for helping other that is not as lucky as I see myself. Why not help me, help someone else? Besides, it's super easy! Just one click :)

Thanks for being such a good friend to The Nature Conservancy - your commitment to the environment is awesome and I just voted for you 'cuz I'm a sucker for my fellow nature fans. So I'm wondering - what are you're doin' for St. Patrick's Day?
Before donning your party frocks, I'd like to ask you to think about what you'll spend for your night on the town and match those funds with a donation to The Nature Conservancy. Or consider staying in that night and donating the money you would have spent - you could even host and get all your buddies together and have them donate what they would have spent out.
We'd love to know if you'll join us in putting the green back in St. Patrick's day - you can go to http://www.crowdrise.com/greenstpatricksday/ to tell us about it and how you pledge to help.
Let's all Put the Green Back in 3/17! Thousands of dolphins and wolves will thank you - and you might even understand them if you speak dolphin or wolf.
