I'm an instructor at The Art Institute of California -Inland Empire, in San Bernardino. I started training for the Run Through Redlands10K in April 2010 to help get in shape. Then, in August , my friend Scott said, "Hey, you wanna train for the LA Marathon with me?" and I said, "When do you run?" and he said, "6:30am on Sundays." and I said, "Are you INSANE???"
I completed the LA Marathon (my first) on March 20th, 2011 - 6 hours and 7 minutes of pure sogginess! We got 2 inches of rain between the time I started and the time I finished :-o This year (2012), I took 45 minutes off my time! Now I'm planning for my first "destination" marathon, the ING New York Marathon 2012. I didn't get in by lottery, so I'm going to raise money for God's Love We Deliver, a non-profit that brings nutritious meals to people who are too sick to cook for themselves. My cousin works there, so I though I'd help out!
