THE STORY:
SANIBEL SEA SCHOOL INC wrote -
Justin and Ted are third graders at Devon Elementary School in Devon, Pennsylvania, who have organized a fundraiser to benefit endangered manatees in Florida.
After learning about and getting to see manatees with Sanibel Sea School, the boys found a way to help. They decided to raise money from fellow classmates at their elementary school to donate to the Save the Manatee Trust Fund.
They pitched the idea to the school principal, and after they gathered a little more research, the principal gave them the "go ahead!" The boys will be collecting donations at their school from May 16th to May 27th.
We are so proud that Justin and Ted have taken the initiative to propose and organize such a selfless fundraiser, and we would like to show them that they can make a difference!
Please show your support and donate a few dollars to help Justin and Ted reach their goal of $1000. Sanibel Sea School will make a matching donation to the Save the Manatee Trust Fund up to $200.
Sanibel Sea School is proud beyond words of these two young men, and you should be too!
All the money raised from this project will go directly to the Save the Manatee Trust Fund to benefit research and conservation efforts for manatees in Florida, but possibly more important than the endangered manatees are the two third graders from Pennsylvania who, at such a young age, are already taking action to make this planet better for future generations. Let's show them their actions are worthwhile!
