***ATTENTION: Holiday Heroes for Hire****
*It bothers you when you see or hear that 16,000 kids are homeless in NYC
*You want to change at least one of these kids' lives forever for the better and be their Holiday Hero by taking action on their behalf
*Cape, sidekick, and reindeer are optional
What you can do:
*Join the team!
*Recruit as many Holiday Heroes as you can from your friends, enemies, & acquaintances!
*Make a meaningful gesture on behalf of a homeless child for the holidays and donate!
*Be a hero maker and give to the charity on a loved one's behalf for the holidays and send them a Crowdrise e-card to let them know what you did when you donate.
My reason for starting this charity:
I have worked as a teacher in NYC for six years in areas where an alarming number of students lived, and continue to live, in homeless shelters. They are the bravest people I know.
What your donations do, according to the Coalition for the Homeless website:
"For more than 25 years, the Coalition for the Homeless has developed and implemented humane, cost-effective strategies to end mass homelessness in New York City. Our model programs represent solutions that can dramatically reduce the homeless population and prevent homelessness among those most at risk."
Be the solution.
