Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser. Founded in 1998 by flight attendant Marline Olivier, HOPEH has been working to bring a better day to the people of Juampas, Haiti, a small village located in the mountainous central plateau, three bumpy hours from Port-Au-Prince.
We are the only NGO working in Juampas which makes it difficult to secure steady funding. We rely completely on private donations and offer an intimate way for people to graciously contribute their funds, time, or talent. One of the special designs of HOPEH is that you see your dollar put to work and what it means to people on the ground in Haiti.
HOPEH is comprised of countless numbers of people who have volunteered their time, their skills, and their talents to the village of Juampas. We have a board of directors, advisers, a staff, but HOPEH really exists in its donors. It’s the people who donate a piece of luggage, who talk to their friends about our work, who help us write grants. Who we are is a complex question with a simple answer. We are you.
We are doctors, waiters, flight attendants, farmers, office workers, traders, electricians, students, musicians, businessmen and businesswomen, nurses, teachers, drivers, bankers, artists, engineers, mathematicians, unemployed, government workers, and everything in between.
You are HOPEH and we are all citizens of the Juampas community.
